When a refund needs attention

If a completed refund is later returned by the payment provider, your order shows Refund needs attention. Open it from Purchases to review the amount and contact support for the next step.

Money returning to the payment provider does not mean you received a replacement payment. RocketVault keeps the refund unresolved and the seller's proceeds held while the result is checked. An older payment update cannot erase that hold. Do not place another order to recover a refund.

The original purchase price, shipping, tax and refund history remain available. Automatic replacement payments are not available in the live founder pilot; support must verify the next step before describing a replacement payment as complete.

Partial refunds

A confirmed partial refund reduces the remaining refundable amount. In Marketplace operations → Orders, authorized administrators see Refund remaining amount after a confirmed partial refund. They can review the amount, enter a smaller amount or cancel without submitting.

A pending or uncertain refund blocks another submission until a fresh status check confirms the result. The server checks the remaining amount again for every request. A submitted request is not shown as confirmed until the payment provider confirms it.

This sample uses synthetic test data to show a partial refund and a separate confirmation for the remaining amount. It demonstrates the controls; no real payment is made in this recording.

Seller balances

Orders with an unresolved returned refund stay in Pending settlement. They do not become payable just because funds returned to the provider. The order and seller balance use the same Refund needs attention label.

Payment, delivery and payout are separate steps. Seller payout history follows confirmed provider results and their accounting records; payment success alone does not complete an order.

Availability

Marketplace testing is limited to authorized U.S. buyers and sellers using USD. Public inventory and checkout are not open. This update does not enable automatic alternate reimbursement.
