What the Referral Program is

Every RocketVault account — including the Free tier — comes with a unique personal referral link. Share it, and when someone signs up with it and becomes a paying subscriber, you earn a recurring commission on what we collect from their subscription for as long as they stay subscribed. Your friend gets a longer free trial too.

Anyone can refer and earn. There's nothing to apply for and no minimum payout.

How much you earn

Your commission rate is tiered by how many subscribers you've referred, and locked at the moment each one converts:

Locked at conversion means each referred subscriber keeps paying out at the rate of the band they fell into when they first subscribed. If you later cross into a higher band, your new referrals earn the higher rate — but your earlier ones aren't re-rated, and they're never reduced either.

Commission is recurring: you keep earning on each referred subscriber for as long as they stay continuously paid. It works on monthly and annual plans (annual pays out once per renewal).

Your friend gets a longer trial

When someone signs up with your referral link, they get a 30-day free trial instead of the standard 14-day trial — a real reason for them to use your link.

How and when you get paid

Payouts are manual. We send your earned, cleared commissions on a reasonable cadence (typically monthly) to the payout handle you saved in Settings → Refer & Earn — PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or Cash App. No minimum payout.

The fine print, in plain English

• Net of fees. Commission is on net revenue — what RocketVault actually collects after refunds, chargebacks, and payment-processor fees, before income taxes. It's not on the sticker price.
• 60-day clawback. If a referred subscriber refunds or charges back within their first 60 days, that commission is reversed. After 60 days, it's locked in.
• No self-referrals. You can't earn on your own subscription or accounts you control.

FAQ

When do I get paid? Commissions accrue as your referred subscribers are billed and clear the 60-day clawback window. We pay out earned, cleared commissions on a reasonable cadence (typically monthly) to your saved payout handle. There's no minimum.

Do I owe taxes on what I earn? Yes — you're responsible for any taxes on your commissions. For U.S. payees, we may ask for a Form W-9 before paying out and may issue a 1099 if your earnings reach the IRS reporting threshold for the year.

Can I refer myself? No. Self-referrals — your own subscription or accounts you control — aren't eligible and may forfeit commissions. See the Referral Partner Agreement.

What if my referral cancels or refunds? If they cancel, the recurring commission stops for the lapsed period. If they refund or charge back within their first 60 days, that commission is reversed (clawback). After 60 days, no clawback applies to that payment.

Does it work on annual plans? Yes. Commission applies to both monthly and annual subscriptions. For annual plans, it's paid once per renewal on the net amount collected for that term.

Who can refer? Anyone with a RocketVault account in good standing — including Free-tier users.
