Marketplace Buyer Protection
How tracked delivery, the three-day review window, issues, returns, refunds, and seller ratings work in RocketVault Marketplace.
Protection timeline
Marketplace purchases require tracked delivery. A carrier-confirmed delivery starts a three-calendar-day review window. RocketVault keeps the seller payout ineligible during that window unless the buyer accepts the order earlier.
The order timeline shows delivery, the protection deadline, an open issue, any seller response, return tracking, the decision, refund status, and rating eligibility. A push or email failure never removes these states from the in-app order timeline.
Open an issue
During the review window, the buyer can open one structured issue for:
- Item not received
- Damaged in transit
- Materially not as described
- Wrong item
- Authenticity concern
The issue includes a description and supporting evidence. Opening an eligible issue pauses payout automatically. The seller can respond once the issue is visible, but cannot remove it or manually mark a tracked order delivered.
Resolutions
RocketVault records the resolution with the order and financial ledger. Supported outcomes are a full refund, partial refund, return for refund, buyer keeps the item, denied claim, or carrier-claim outcome. A required return uses tracked return shipping, and the refund remains linked to its provider record and immutable ledger adjustments.
Release gate
Buyer Protection remains behind Marketplace checkout and operations flags until payment, tax, label, payout-hold, refund, notification, and support acceptance tests pass together. A public policy page does not activate checkout or create a protection promise for an unprocessed transaction.
Ratings and reviews
After carrier-confirmed delivery, the buyer can rate the seller once for the completed order using one to five stars, structured tags, and an optional comment. Rating eligibility remains after an issue is resolved. Sellers can publish one response; sellers do not rate buyers.
Public seller reputation uses completed sales, published buyer ratings, and handling history. Reports and moderation can hide abusive reviews or suspicious listings without rewriting the underlying order record.
Report a listing
Listing pages provide a report action for suspected counterfeit cards, prohibited content, misleading condition details, or suspicious behavior. Reports do not disclose the reporter to the seller and do not expose seller email, internal account identifiers, payout status, or ship-from address.
