Daily Briefing

Overview

Every morning, RocketVault writes you a briefing and puts it front and center. Open the Command Center (the top item in the sidebar, or the Command tab on mobile) and your latest briefing is the first thing you see — no button to press, no waiting. It's generated overnight and stored, so it loads instantly.

The briefing is built to make you want to do exactly three things: update at least one price, list at least one card from your vault, and feel like RocketVault was working for you between logins.

What's in it

A briefing pulls together your own inventory data and live market research into a handful of focused sections. You'll only ever see the sections that have something real to say on a given day:

• 🔴 Urgent — listings needing attention. Cards whose ask price is out of step with recent comps, or that have sat too long without selling, with a suggested move.
• 📈 Price you could be getting more for. Listings sitting below market, with the comp and a recommended new ask.
• 📦 Vault cards worth listing right now. Unlisted cards from your vault that a current catalyst makes worth listing today — a player's big game, an injury return, a trade, or a real recent-sales move — each tied to the news driving it, with a source. Like the news sections, it's cite-or-omit: if nothing's moving a given card today, it simply won't appear here.
• 💎 Grading opportunities. Raw rookie cards valued at $50+ that could gain value from grading — listed out individually, each one linked straight to the card so you can open it and act.
• 🏆 Player news affecting your collection. Game results, injuries, trades, and award news for players you actually own — tied to the card impact, not just the headline, and linked to your cards for that player so you can jump straight to your holdings.
• 📊 Price moves from the news. When the news names a player you hold, RocketVault automatically re-checks the price on your unlisted cards for that player and shows the change since it last looked — each row a green ▲ or red ▼ chip with the old and new price, linked straight to the card. The fresh price is saved, so it's ready the moment you list. (Your listed cards aren't touched here — repricing a live listing is its own deliberate action.) Only cards that actually moved show up, so on a quiet day this section simply isn't there.
• 🎯 Suggested lots. When a player you own is in today's news, RocketVault proposes a ready-to-build bundle of your eligible cards for them — a small, curated lot (around 3–9 cards) you can sell into the moment. Each suggestion has a Generate lot button that builds the draft for you in one click (see below).
• 🔄 Trade matches. Newly published public marketplace cards that match an active item on your want list. Each result links directly to the listing; private, follower-only, blocked, and older listings stay out of the briefing.
• 📍 Card shows near you. Dated card shows in the next seven days near the city in your verified trading profile, with the event source linked. RocketVault uses only your city and state for this search — never your street address or ZIP code — and omits the section when no verified location or event is available.
• 🧳 Card show prep. For shows you've saved in RocketVault, the briefing recommends high-signal unlisted cards to bring, seeds current asking prices, and calculates a private floor that never goes below recorded cost basis. Build pack list adds the still-eligible cards and opens the show for review.
• 💡 Market opportunities. Buy ideas on your watchlist or players with an upcoming catalyst.
• ⏰ This week's market calendar. Upcoming product releases, award dates, and games that could move cards you hold.

Building a lot straight from the briefing

The Suggested lots section turns a news catalyst into one action. RocketVault picks a player who's in today's news and whom you hold sellable cards for, then proposes bundling them — leading with that player's cards. If you own three or more of the player it's a straight player lot; if you only own one or two, it rounds the bundle out with their teammates into a small lot (clearly labeled, e.g. "Brandon Ingram + Pelicans lot"). If there aren't enough of the player or their teammates to make a real lot, it simply skips them rather than padding the bundle with unrelated cards.

Hit Generate lot and RocketVault creates the draft for you: the cards attached, an auto-generated title, and a suggested lot price (a standard ~15% bundle discount), then drops you straight into the Lot Builder to review, tweak, and publish. It re-checks availability the moment you click, so anything you've listed or lotted since the briefing was written is quietly left out — you'll never end up with a draft pointing at a card that's already gone.

Building lots is a Seller-plan feature. On Free or Collector you'll still see the suggestions, with a prompt to upgrade when you're ready to start bundling.

Dismissing items you're done with

Every briefing row has a small ✕ on its right edge. Dismiss an item and it disappears immediately — and stays gone: the dismissal is saved to your account, so it won't come back when you refresh, log in on another device, or when tomorrow's briefing is generated. RocketVault remembers what the insight was about (the card, the proposed lot, the story), so the same suggestion won't be re-surfaced — but a genuinely new development for the same card (say, a fresh price move) is a new insight and will still appear. Dismissals only affect your own view; if the save ever fails, the item pops back so you know it didn't stick.

Generate more insights

On Vault cards worth listing, Grading opportunities, and Suggested lots, select Generate more insights to pull another page of ideas from your current inventory. These extra results are generated when you ask, not written back into that day's saved briefing, so they always reflect cards that are still available. Fresh results appear under a generated just now divider, and asking again pages onward — you won't be shown the same idea twice, and anything you've dismissed stays excluded. When nothing new qualifies, the briefing says so plainly ("No additional insights are available right now") instead of leaving you guessing, and if generation fails you get a clear error with a retry. Expanded lot ideas open the Lot Builder so you can continue building from there; nothing is created or published automatically.

Trade-match rows compare the listing's requested trade value with RocketVault Pricing. When you already have trade-enabled cards near that value, the briefing proposes a balanced card bundle and any remaining cash difference as a starting point — it never sends an offer for you.

Grounded, not guessed

The market and news sections are researched with live web search at the moment your briefing is written, not pulled from a model's memory. Every externally-sourced claim is backed by a real source, and all of them are gathered together in a single compact Sources dropdown at the bottom of the briefing — collapsed by default so they stay out of your way, one click to expand and audit every link. If RocketVault can't find a real source for a claim, it leaves the claim out rather than guessing. Prices and figures about your own cards come straight from your RocketVault data.

Browsing past briefings

Your briefings are kept indefinitely. Use the date picker in the top-right of the briefing to jump back to any previous day and see what RocketVault was flagging then.

When you'll see your first one

Your first briefing appears after the next daily run — you don't need any cards to get one.

Before you've added cards

Brand new and haven't uploaded anything yet? You still open to a briefing: a general hobby market report — the day's biggest card-moving stories, a few grounded buy ideas, and the upcoming catalyst calendar — researched with live web search and cited the same way the rest of the briefing is. It's the same report for everyone in this state, so it's marked clearly as not yet personalized, with a button to upload your cards. The moment you add cards, the next day's briefing is about your collection instead — the players you own, your underpriced listings, and your sales.

When your own cards are quiet

Some days your specific cards have no pricing alerts or recent sales to flag — and smaller or lower-value collections may rarely trigger card-level signals at all. Instead of leaving you with an empty screen, RocketVault writes a market pulse scoped to the sports and teams you actually collect: what's happening in your leagues, how your players' teams are doing, a few grounded buy ideas (quality names sitting at a floor or positioned ahead of a dated catalyst), and the upcoming catalyst calendar. It's the same grounded, cited research as the rest of your briefing — just widened from your individual cards to the market around them, so there's always something worth opening.

The weekly email

Once a week, RocketVault emails you so the briefing pulls you back in even when you haven't logged in:

• If you have cards: a targeted recap of your week — the biggest price moves on the cards you own (with the actual before/after numbers and a ▲/▼ delta), cited player news, upcoming nearby card shows, and want-list trade matches when they are available. It is pulled from your past week of briefings and ranked by what actually moved or needs attention, not by section order. The subject line leads with your top signal, so the most important thing is visible right from the inbox. It's still deliberately a teaser — one tap into your Command Center opens the full briefing (live comps, suggested prices, and clickable sources). On a genuinely quiet week, it falls back to a simple read rather than inventing movement.
• If you haven't added cards yet: a nudge showing what you unlock by uploading — player news for the names you own, underpriced-listing alerts, and grading opportunities — so the briefing becomes yours.

Turning it off

The daily briefing and the weekly email are on by default and controlled by a single switch. To stop both, head to Settings → Notifications and turn off the daily briefing, or just ask the RocketVault Agent to "turn off my morning briefing."

Every weekly email also carries a one-click Unsubscribe link in its footer (no login needed) — clicking it stops the email and pauses the daily briefing in one step. You can turn everything back on anytime from Settings.

The RocketVault Agent

The conversational RocketVault Agent lives in its own spot in the sidebar, directly beneath the Command Center — and on desktop you can summon it from anywhere with Cmd-K (Ctrl-K on Windows), where it opens as a side panel so you keep your place. Use the briefing to see what needs attention, then open the Agent to act on it — ask questions about your collection, publish listings, build lots, or reprice.
